In this painting I tried to capture a powerful moment: an angel, subtly hidden within the swirling clouds, raises a trumpet to sound the final call. A dramatic sunset glows through the curling wave, heralding the sunset of the end of days. The image reflects the promise in 1 Corinthians 15:52— “at the last trump … the trumpet shall sound”—heralding Christ’s return to rule and reign. I used oils to create a softer painting than the Last Trump painting I had painted in acrylics.
