While investigating who was building the data centers in the Nashville area for a podcast interview the pieces fell into place. The main proposal comes from DC Blox for a site at 648 Grassmere Park in the Grassmere Business Park right next to the Nashville Zoo. Their plans start with a roughly 69,000 square foot building and expand to a much larger second one targeting around 50 MW of power capacity. A separate proposal at Fisk University adds another tech and data component. DC Blox based in Atlanta is the developer driving the Grassmere project through local permits. As I looked closer at the money behind it and what these massive AI facilities will power, the bigger picture became impossible to ignore.
Limitless Global Money Powers These Projects
The money comes from enormous interconnected global funds that give these projects nearly unlimited backing. DC Blox has already locked in well over $2 billion through green loans expanded to $850 million on top of earlier facilities and other financing including a $240 million deal from Global Infrastructure Partners now part of BlackRock. Equity backers include Future Standard tied to Post Road Group and Bain Capital Credit. This is not local money. It is big global capital flowing into data centers across the Southeast and beyond. Larry Fink Links BlackRock to the World Economic Forum
Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock, sits as Interim Co-Chair of the World Economic Forum’s Board of Trustees. Remember the World Economic Forum which in a promo video “8 Predictions for the World in 2030” said “You will own nothing and be happy….. I own nothing, have no privacy, and life has never been better”. The WEF pushes hard for the United Nations Agenda 2030 and its Sustainable Development Goals.
These plans promote digital transformation, centralized resource management and a shift to new economic systems. The end game openly discussed in these circles is a highly connected global framework where a small group of powerful players, the elite richest people in the world, shape how the world runs. When a handful of people and institutions control the money, technology, and the rules, everyday freedom gets squeezed. That is the direction these initiatives point toward digital IDs and programmable currencies as key tools for tracking and controlling access to funds and your very ability to participate in society.
Our Own Retirement Money Is Funding the Buildout
Here is the part that should make every American angry. These data centers are being funded in a roundabout way by ordinary people’s investments and retirement funds. The Big Three asset managers handle trillions of dollars sitting in 401(k)s IRAs pensions and index funds for millions of working families. That money flows into the funds that back the big three, BlackRock, Vanguard, and State Street and their partners. In essence our own savings are being used to finance the very infrastructure that tightens control over our lives. They are using our money to build a digital prison for us.
Green Loans Mask the Real Costs
DC Blox gets green loans for these projects which is special financing that claims environmental benefits. BlackRock’s GIP ( Global Infrastructure Partners) provide that capital. BlackRock itself is a leader in green finance and sustainable investing. But here is the hard truth: these data centers are not really green. They devour massive amounts of electricity, enough to power tens of thousands of homes per facility and strain water supplies and local grids. They heat up the atmosphere. “Where are the global warming advocates? Where is Greta Lundberg?
The green label helps them secure cheap funding and favorable treatment while the real environmental costs land on communities. It looks like greenwashing on a grand scale: Use the climate story to get the money then build the infrastructure that destroys the environment.
Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practice to deceive. — Sir Walter Scott
The Big Three Own Corporate America
This connects directly to the Big Three asset managers: BlackRock, Vanguard and State Street. These three are the top shareholders in roughly 88-90% of S&P 500 companies. They often hold a combined 20-25% stake. Look at the pattern:
Top shareholders of Apple: Vanguard usually number 1 BlackRock number 2 State Street near the top.
Top shareholders of Microsoft: Vanguard number 1 BlackRock number 2 State Street number 3.
Top shareholders in Alphabet Google: Vanguard number 1 BlackRock number 2 State Street number 4.
The same holds for Amazon Tesla ExxonMobil JPMorgan Coca-Cola Johnson & Johnson and dozens more. These managers run the giant index funds and ETFs where millions of Americans’ retirement savings sit.
They also own big pieces of each other. The result? A tiny circle at the top owns and influences the corporations that dominate tech, finance, energy and more. (Ownership patterns: https://blackrockvanguardwatch.com/)
Tech Giants and the Funding Web
The tech giants themselves Amazon, Microsoft, Google and Meta are pouring hundreds of billions into data centers collectively heading toward trillions in coming years. Many get financed through the same web: BlackRock-led partnerships, green loans and infrastructure funds. BlackRock’s deals like the massive Aligned Data Centers acquisition with Microsoft and others show how deeply they are embedded. The Big Three own major stakes in these hyperscalers too.
Common sense connects the dots: the same small group of ultra-wealthy institutions funds the buildout, owns the companies demanding the capacity, and shapes the policies that make it all possible.
Tokenization Delivers Total Control
This is about control. The powerful want to tokenize nature, turning forests, land, carbon, and resources into digital shares they can trade and profit from on stock exchanges, just like buying fractions of a company. They are doing the same with human beings, reducing us to human resources whose every action can be sliced up, tracked, and traded.
In plain terms, tokenization means chopping up real things like a piece of forest or a person’s daily behaviors, health data, work output, and biometrics into tiny digital fractions, much like shares of stock. These fractions are recorded on blockchain ledgers that never forget and cannot easily be changed. Sensors, apps, digital IDs, and AI constantly monitor and feed personal data into the system, turning free people and nature into programmable assets. As laid out in my article: Are We Being Borged? – Welcome this digitization creates new systems where everything is tracked, fractionalized, and controlled on blockchain platforms.
Nature on the Chopping Block From Forests to Fractional Shares: The Internet of Forests makes Nature a Commodity to be Traded on the Stock Exchange
Here’s a real-life example of how the tokenization of nature is happening right now. Big corporations like O.N.E. Amazon approach debt-ridden third-world countries desperate for money. They pay for large tracts of forest land, then tokenize these wild places, such as the Amazon rainforest, by chopping them into digital securities. Each token represents a piece of land or an ecosystem service like clean air or the variety of plants and animals
Companies like O.N.E. Amazon, which is tied to U.S. intelligence and crypto investors, plan to issue these tokens backed by preservation deals. They cap the supply to make them scarce like digital gold. They install massive sensor networks and satellites to monitor every hectare in real time and collect data on everything from tree growth to animal movements. The data feeds into AI systems that manage the assets.
This article explains it: O.N.E Amazon calls for biodiversity to be treated as critical global infrastructure at the Nobel Sustainability Trust Summit 2025
Within this broader context, O.N.E Amazon CEO Rodrigo Veloso, described the deployment of the world’s first Internet of Forests (IoF™) as a foundational step toward this goal. Hundreds of sensors, acoustic devices, soil monitors, and imaging technologies have already been installed in regions such as the Darién in Panama and the Chiribiquete National Park in Colombia. “If we can measure it, we can value it,” Veloso said. “The Internet of Forests allows us to rebuild nature’s backbone infrastructure and understand biodiversity at a level that makes conservation investable.”
“We are only able to launch a fully regulated nature-backed Digital Asset Security now because the regulatory landscape has changed,” Veloso said. “The leadership of the Environmental Task Force, the Crypto Task Force, and the clarity emerging under President Trump’s GENIUS Act make this possible. And when you combine this with blockchain, through the ERC-3643 standard, and AI, we can finally bring nature into markets responsibly. Lasting conservation depends on aligning market incentives with ecological outcomes, responsibly harnessing the power of markets to ensure the forest is more valuable alive than dead.”
Summary
Nature has become a commodity: big corporations are buying Amazon rainforest land, slicing it into blockchain tokens for things like the variety of plants and animals, and trading them on markets so investors can profit.
Rise up and get in the battle
The people of Tennessee are rightly concerned about the effect of these data centers on their water, their electricity, noise pollution, land use, and neighborhoods and their very freedom. These massive facilities are the essential infrastructure needed to power the AI surveillance and blockchain systems that make Agenda 2030 and total centralized control possible. Without them, the elites cannot fully digitize, monitor, and enforce compliance over every aspect of life. Pair that with digital IDs and central bank digital currencies, and access to your own money could depend on compliance with their rules. Local communities worried about their power bills, water, neighborhoods, and zoo are up against this machine of limitless funding and aligned global interests.
The Few Control the Many
The people with the most money are building the infrastructure for total oversight. They dress it up as progress, sustainability, and innovation. But when you follow the money and connect the ownership, the WEF agendas, the green financing tricks, and the push for digital control, the picture is clear: a few at the top aim to run the show while the rest of us live inside their system as servants/slaves.
Tennesseans and others fighting these projects must push back hard. We need to be watchmen on the wall and expose the evil deeds of darkness.
Ephesians 5:11 (NKJV) “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather expose them.”
