When Benjamin Franklin walked out of the Constitutional Convention in 1787 and was asked by Elizabeth Willing Powel, “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” he replied, “A republic, if you can keep it.”

What are we now?
We have strayed far from the original founder’s intent and have morphed into a conglomerate of Republicanism, Fascism, Technocracy, Socialism and Communism. Although a few states may still preserve small remnants of the original republic, even those remnants are now mixed with systems that the Founding Fathers never intended. Our Constitution is being shredded before our very eyes.
- Hammer and sickle (top left, yellow on red): Represents communism, symbolizing the unity of industrial workers (hammer) and peasants (sickle).
- Fasces (center left, golden bundle of rods with axe): Represents fascism, an ancient Roman symbol of authority and strength through unity, adopted by Mussolini’s regime.
- Fist holding a red rose (center right, on orange): Represents socialism, particularly democratic socialism, combining the traditional raised fist of worker solidarity with the rose as a symbol of peace and social justice.
- Monad symbol (bottom left, black geometric design): Represents technocracy, the 1930s movement’s emblem for balanced scientific management of society and resources.
- Bald eagle with shield (bottom right): Represents the United States, the national emblem symbolizing freedom, strength, and American identity.
A republic is a form of government in which political power rests with the public through their representatives, rather than a monarch, and is typically governed according to law or a constitution. The Founding Fathers vision for the United States was more precisely a constitutional federal republic, with power limited by the Constitution, divided between federal and state governments, and exercised through elected representatives. Well, we did not keep it. We are not represented by those elected to represent us. They listen to big business and not the people who vote them into office.
Hybrid of Fascism and Technocracy
The United States exhibits elements of fascism through its growing corporatism, where government policies and funding increasingly favor large corporations over small businesses, as seen during the COVID-19 shutdowns when big retailers remained open while independents were forced to close, eroding competition and consolidating power among elites. At the same time, it incorporates technocratic features by placing technical experts and oligarchs from major industries, such as technology and pharmaceuticals, in key decision-making roles. This overlap creates a hybrid system where big industry serves as the common thread, blending fascist-style state-corporate alliances with technocratic rule by specialists. Though the nation has not yet descended into full fascism marked by total authoritarian control, overt suppression of dissent or a single dictatorial leader, we are well on our way.
Socialism/Communism/Mamdani
Socialism has invaded so many government programs that it boggles the mind, including Social Security (retirement and disability benefits), Medicare and Medicaid (healthcare for the elderly and low-income), welfare programs like TANF, food stamps (SNAP), Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), public education, housing subsidies etc. Socialism is the necessary component of communism. They go hand in glove. And now Communists are being elected to offices around the country. In 2021, as a member of the New York State Assembly for the 36th district, Zohran Mamdani spoke to a Young Democratic Socialists of America virtual conference and used the Marxist phrase, “…whether it’s the end goal of seizing the means of production.” This phrase originates from Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in The Communist Manifesto (1848). It refers to the working class (proletariat) taking collective or state control of the “means of production“, factories, land, machinery, resources and tools used to produce goods and services, away from private owners (capitalists or bourgeoisie). Marxism says that in order to end capitalism, we must abolish private ownership of factories and businesses, making them collectively owned. This paves the way for a classless communist society where production meets everyone’s needs equally, not profit.
Universal Basic Income (UBI) is essentially a one-size-fits-all Marxist policy that promises equal redistribution to the masses while quietly exempting the controlling elite who would never stoop to living like the masses themselves. It is heavily promoted by the World Economic Forum, an organization that envisions a centralized global order, and has even been endorsed by billionaire Elon Musk, who one strongly suspects would not be lining up to receive his own UBI check. This same WEF famously released a video portraying their utopian vision with the chilling tagline: “Welcome to 2030: I own nothing, have no privacy and life has never been better.” Watch the disturbing video by the WEF: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=10153920524981479
Mamdani’s promise of “warmth” in his recent New York Mayoral inauguration speech should make everybody shiver. He vowed to replace the “frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism,” painting a deceptive warm and fuzzy picture of communal harmony that history reveals as a frightening prelude to tyranny.
Communism at its Core is Built on Collectivism
Collectivism is the seductive notion that subordinating individual rights to the group will forge a peaceful utopia of equal ownership and shared prosperity. Yet this promise is a cruel illusion, consistently shattered wherever it is implemented. This so-called warmth is no utopia but a smothering blanket of state control, where individual freedoms are extinguished in the name of the group, leading to the same horrors that have plagued communist regimes: mass starvation, genocidal purges and the erosion of human dignity under the guise of equality. [1]
“Because the Collective took everything, all property, our house, our farm, everything became property of the State. Everything in your life, you had to do how they said to do it. The Communists ordered everyone to think what they thought. There was no freedom of speech. There was no freedom of anything. If you said something the Communists didn’t like, you were arrested and sent to prison.”
Dan Novacovici, political prisoner in Romania.
The Communist Plan to Take Over the United States
Nikita Sergeyevich Khrushchev ( First Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1953 to 1964) said:

“We will take America without firing a shot. We do not have to invade the U.S. We will destroy you from within.”
How did he plan to do this? On January 10, 1963, Congressman Albert S. Herlong Jr. of Florida read into the Congressional Record a list of 45 “current communist goals” as excerpted from the book The Naked Communist by Cleon Skousen. The goals were presented as a blueprint for infiltrating and subverting American society from within, including taking over media, schools, churches and other institutions without violence. Here is the full list as entered into the record. Read the whole list and observe how the Communists have reached almost all of the 45 goals of takeover:
- U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
- U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
- Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
- Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
- Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.
- Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
- Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
- Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.
- Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
- Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.
- Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces.
- Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
- Do away with all loyalty oaths.
- Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
- Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
- Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
- Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
- Gain control of all student newspapers.
- Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
- Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.
- Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
- Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”
- Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”
- Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.
- Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.
- Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”
- Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”
- Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”
- Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
- Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”
- Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
- Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture–education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
- Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
- Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
- Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
- Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
- Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
- Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
- Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
- Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
- Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
- Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use united force to solve economic, political or social problems.
- Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
- Internationalize the Panama Canal.
- Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike.
Through decades of patient infiltration, communists have achieved nearly all of the 45 goals outlined in 1963 – not only seizing control of public schools for transmission of socialist propaganda, but also dominating mainstream media, churches, entertainment and other key institutions – leaving most Americans profoundly unaware of communism’s evils due to relentless, multi-generational brainwashing and ideological subversion from within.
Therefore, I felt a profound need and urgent desire to compile a thorough account of communism’s devastations – from its bloody historical origins across the world to its insidious manifestations today – so that readers might finally awaken to its true nature and the ongoing threat it poses to freedom.
Communism Stands as One of the Most Monstrous Ideologies Ever Inflicted Upon Humanity
Communism is a soul-crushing system that promised utopia but delivered only rivers of blood, mountains of corpses and the utter devastation of entire societies. Under the guise of equality and collective progress communist regimes unleashed unprecedented terror, systematically eradicating individual freedoms, private property and human dignity. This evil doctrine, rooted in class warfare and absolute state control, turned governments into killing machines, where dissent was a death sentence and millions were sacrificed on the altar of ideological purity. The horrors of communism included engineered famines that starved innocents by the tens of millions, gulags and labor camps that worked people to death like disposable tools, mass executions that wiped out intellectuals and political rivals and cultural revolutions that obliterated traditions, families and hope itself. Far from liberating the masses, communism enslaved them, fostering paranoia, betrayal and a cult of personality around tyrannical leaders who ruled with iron fists-stained red. Its destructiveness is unmatched in modern history, responsible for over 100 million deaths worldwide, dwarfing even the atrocities of fascism, and leaving behind economically ruined nations scarred by poverty, surveillance and generational trauma. [2]
The barbaric legacy of communism is etched in the genocidal policies of its leaders, who viewed human life as expendable fodder for their twisted visions. These regimes not only murdered on an industrial scale but also destroyed economies through forced collectivization, leading to widespread famine and societal collapse. Cultures were annihilated, religions persecuted and innovation stifled under the weight of state-enforced mediocrity. Communism’s evil is evident in its pattern: every attempt to implement it resulted in purges, show trials and concentration camps, proving it to be a fundamentally destructive force that preys on the vulnerable while enriching a corrupt elite.
From the frozen wastelands of Siberia to the killing fields of Cambodia, the 20th and 21st centuries bear witness to communism’s unrelenting assault on humanity, a fiasco that continues to claim lives in communist countries.
Joseph Stalin, the Soviet Union’s Iron-fisted Dictator from the 1920s to 1953

Stalin’s reign embodied the sheer brutality of communism, orchestrating the deaths of at least 20 million people through his paranoid purges, forced collectivization and the infamous Gulag system. Higher estimates place his toll at up to 43 million, with around 39 million perishing in the lethal forced labor camps and during transit. The Holodomor famine in Ukraine alone killed 4-7 million through deliberate starvation, a genocidal act to crush peasant resistance. Stalin’s Great Purge executed nearly 700,000, while deportations of ethnic groups like Poles, Germans and Tatars led to hundreds of thousands more deaths from exposure and disease. His regime devastated the Soviet economy, turning a once vibrant agricultural heartland into a graveyard.
Mao Zedong, the Founding Father of Communist China

Mao surpassed even Stalin in destructiveness. Mao’s policies caused an estimated 40-80 million deaths from 1949 to 1976. The Great Leap Forward (1958-1962) alone triggered a The Great Chinese Famine that killed 30-55 million through forced collectivization and absurd industrial targets, reducing people to eating tree bark and resorting to cannibalism in some areas. Farmers were pulled away from fields to work on steel production, leaving crops to rot unharvested.[3]
The Cultural Revolution (1966-1976) added 1-3 million more murders. The Red Guards, a paramilitary youth movement mobilized by Mao Zedong were responsible for widespread violence and destruction. Comprising mainly high school and university students, they were tasked with enforcing Mao’s vision of class struggle by targeting perceived “bourgeois” and “counter-revolutionary” elements. This included intellectuals, educators, professionals, religious figures and anyone associated with traditional or Western culture. The Red Guards used extreme brutality, including the use of scissors to cut out tongues, the dislocation of jaws to prevent defense and the execution of children and infants. In some regions, such as Guangxi, Red Guards and party workers engaged in cannibalism, consuming the flesh of victims they had tortured to death. [4] [5]
The chaos led to the deaths of an estimated one million people; with millions more sent to labor camps or the countryside for “re-education”.
Mao’s madness wrecked China’s economy, halted education for a decade and scarred the nation’s psyche, proving communism’s capacity for self-inflicted apocalypse.
The CCP (Chinese Communist Party)
The CCP’s legacy of control extended into later eras, exemplified by the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre, where student-led protests demanding democracy, free speech and anti-corruption reforms in Beijing and other cities were brutally crushed on June 3-4. Troops and tanks opened fire on unarmed demonstrators and bystanders, killing hundreds to possibly thousands, with estimates varying from official claims of around 200 civilians to independent reports of over 10,000 deaths including injuries. [6] [7] [8]
The CCP has systematically erased the Tiananmen Square massacre from history education, omitting it entirely from textbooks, censoring all online mentions (including searches for “June 4,” “Tank Man,” or even dates like “May 35” as coded references), banning public commemorations and detaining activists or bereaved families who attempt to discuss or memorialize it, leaving many young Chinese unaware of the incident.[9] [10]

Picture of Tank Man in Tiananmen Square.
Under communism, children are often treated as wards of the state, with the Chinese Communist Party prioritizing collective loyalty over family bonds. During the Cultural Revolution youth were indoctrinated to denounce even their parents as “class enemies.” State policies like the one-child rule (1979-2015) enforced reproductive control, leading to widespread infanticide and abandonment of girls in underfunded orphanages where neglect and “dying rooms” resulted in high mortality rates for unwanted infants. [11]
Xi Jinping

Today, under Xi Jinping, who has held power as General Secretary of the CCP and President since 2012 and secured indefinite rule by abolishing term limits in 2018, this authoritarian grip persists, blending Mao-era ideology with modern surveillance to suppress dissent and enforce state supremacy over individual lives. As a side note: Numerous American tech companies and technocrats have played significant roles in helping China develop its advanced surveillance systems: IBM, Dell, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Nvidia, HP, Cisco, Oracle, Microsoft, Seagate, Intel, Motorola, Amazon Web Services, Western Digital and ArcGIS Esri. [12] [13] [14] [15]
Many of these very same tech companies are now controlling the development of U.S. mass surveillance systems under President Trump’s administration. It is not a stretch to say that we are not far behind China in surveillance control. Remember that our government used the technocrat’s technology to track down and round up the January 6ers and put them in 6 foot by 6 foot prison cells. Many were denied medical care as well as their day in court. They would still be in the U.S. gulag if Kamala had been elected.
Pol Pot’s Khmer Rouge Regime in Cambodia from 1975 to 1979

Pol Pot’s reign was a nightmarish experiment in agrarian communism that slaughtered about 2 million people, roughly a quarter of the population, in just four years. Targeting intellectuals, urban dwellers and anyone deemed a threat, Pol Pot’s forces emptied cities, forced millions into slave labor on collective farms and executed victims in the infamous Killing Fields with clubs and hoes to save bullets. Resulting famines and diseases claimed countless lives, while torture centers like Tuol Sleng exterminated thousands in grotesque rituals. Pol Pot’s genocidal regime turned Cambodia into a nightmarish land of mass death and slaughter, destroying its society and economy while leaving behind literal landmines along with deep psychological trauma. [16] [17]
Fidel Castro’s Communist Rule in Cuba from 1959 to 2008

Castro’s reign, often romanticized by apologists and teachers in U.S. public schools, was a tyrannical disaster that caused an estimated 73,000-150,000 deaths through executions, labor camps and drownings of fleeing refugees. Thousands were shot by firing squads in the early years, while political prisons like La Cabaña tortured and killed dissidents. Castro’s economic policies led to chronic shortages, rationing and a mass exodus where over 14,000 Cuban rafters perished at sea. His regime suppressed free speech, religion and free enterprise, turning a prosperous island into an impoverished police state reliant on foreign aid. His regime exported revolution to Africa and Latin America, fueling more bloodshed.
The Kim Dynasty’s Communist Hell in North Korea

The Kim dynasty, starting with Kim Il-Sung in 1948 and continuing through Kim Jong-Il and Kim Jong-Un into the 21st century, has caused over 2-4 million deaths, including from the Korean War (initiated by the regime, killing millions) and ongoing atrocities. The 1990s Arduous March famine alone killed up to 1 million due to mismanagement and isolation.[18] Vast gulags held hundreds of thousands in slave labor, with public executions, torture and generational punishment for “crimes” like watching foreign media. This ongoing tragedy has destroyed the economy, leaving citizens malnourished and brainwashed. North Korea’s nuclear brinkmanship threatens global stability. North Korea is a vivid reminder that communism’s evil endures.[19] [20]
Many other communist fiascos amplified the ideology’s destructiveness:
Ethiopia, Mengistu Haile Mariam’s Derg Regime (1974-1991) unleashed the Red Terror, killing up to 1.7 million through executions, famine and war.
Romania, Under Nicolae Ceaușescu (1965-1989), contributed to the Eastern Bloc’s 1 million deaths, with his Securitate secret police executing thousands. His communist policies caused widespread poverty and the infamous orphanages of neglect.
Vietnam’s Communist Rule Under Ho Chi Minh and Successors claimed 1 million lives through land reforms, reeducation camps and the boat people exodus.
Afghanistan’s Short-lived Communist Era (1978-1992) saw 1.5 million perish in purges and Soviet-backed repression. Afghanistan is now under equally oppressive Islamic Taliban rule. In essence they came out of the frying pan into another fire.
Modern Day Example of Communism-Venezuela
Venezuela was once Latin America’s richest nation, thriving on vast oil wealth. But Hugo Chávez brought communism/ socialism to the country by nationalizing industries, seizing private farms and businesses, imposing price controls, and spending massively on corrupt government programs. High oil prices masked the damage at first, but when prices fell the economy collapsed completely. Under his hand picked successor Nicolás Maduro, oil production dropped from over 3 million to under 1 million barrels per day. Hyperinflation reached millions of percent. Food and medicine shortages became widespread. Poverty engulfed most of the population, and over 7 million people fled in one of history’s largest exoduses. The regime also revealed communism’s brutal side: security forces and armed paramilitary groups carried out thousands of killings, often staging scenes to justify them. Protests were crushed with live ammunition and torture, killing over 120 people in 2017 alone. Thousands more died preventable deaths from starvation and lack of medical care. Venezuela’s tragic fall shows communism’s true cost – total economic ruin paired with violent authoritarian control.
The Chinese Communist Party’s “New Silk Road”
The above examples do not even begin to cover all the present-day communist takeovers of Africa, South America and beyond. One example is the Chinese Communist Party’s so-called Belt and Road Initiative, cynically branded as a “New Silk Road”. It is nothing less than a calculated global takeover strategy launched by Xi Jinping in 2013, designed to export Beijing’s authoritarian communism by drowning developing nations in predatory debt through massive “investments” in ports, railway and infrastructure across Asia, Africa, Europe and beyond. By luring over 150 countries into financial dependency with loans they can never repay the CCP deliberately creates “debt traps” that force sovereign nations to surrender strategic assets, political autonomy and even their freedoms – handing China control over critical resources, military footholds and local governance while spreading the toxic ideology of one-party totalitarian rule that crushes dissent, erodes national sovereignty and ultimately aims to reshape the world in the image of communist tyranny. [21] [22] [23]
These catastrophes of the 20th and 21st century underscore Communism’s universal failure. Wherever communism’s collective ideals are imposed, they breed death, despair and decay. There is no fuzzy warmth of collectivism as Mamdani proclaims he will bring as Mayor of New York.
Communism promises to dismantle the ruling class and create a truly egalitarian society by abolishing private property and class distinctions, yet in practice, it merely replaces the old elite with a new, corrupt ruling class of party leaders and bureaucrats who amass wealth and absolute power. While the masses are forced into poverty and uniformity under the banner of equality, these new communist overlords live in luxury proving that the ideology doesn’t eliminate hierarchy – it simply installs a more oppressive one. I would note that the UN Agenda 2030 is collective communism at its core. [24]
For many decades, U.S. public schools have largely failed to teach the horrors and catastrophic failures of communism, including the estimated 100 million deaths under regimes like those of Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot, as well as the economic collapses and loss of freedoms in places like the Soviet Union, China and Venezuela. Instead, many curricula downplay these realities, romanticize socialist figures and ideas or present collectivist policies in a positive light while criticizing America’s constitutional republic as flawed or oppressive. Public education has also increasingly incorporated elements aligned with the United Nations’ Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development. The curriculum embeds themes of global equity, environmental central planning and reduced national sovereignty throughout with lessons on climate, social justice and economics. This steady exposure leaves generations of youth vulnerable to embracing openly communist or socialist politicians like Zohran Mamdani, who has spoken favorably of “seizing the means of production.” As a result, many young people have internalized this propaganda without understanding its historical dangers.
Circling Back to Mamdani and the Red-Green Alliance
Communism functions as a quasi-religion for its most devoted followers, who pursue it with the same fervent zeal as religious believers yet insist it cannot be called a religion because of their atheism. Ironically, Karl Marx’s famous declaration that “religion is the opiate of the masses” perfectly describes the hypnotic, faith-like grip communism exerts on its adherents, complete with dogma, prophets and intolerance of heresy. It is especially striking that many Islamists, such as Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and New York Mayor Mamdani, who believe in a god called Allah, enthusiastically embrace communist ideology despite its atheism. This alliance reveals that two fundamentally oppressive belief systems have united to form a Red-Green alliance (Red=Communism, Green=Islam) around a common cause – the destruction of the United States and its free enterprise system.
Teach Your Children Well
I strongly recommend homeschooling or enrolling children in conservative private schools that faithfully teach the principles of our constitutional republic, the genius of the Founding Fathers and the proven horrors of ideologies like Fascism, Islam and Communism. Talk to your children and grandchildren about what they are learning in school. Have real conversations with them. Ask questions, listen carefully and share the truth. I know from personal experience that this makes a lasting difference.
When I was in high school my father taught me about the evils of communism. He worked hard, scrimped and saved and even took out second mortgages to send my siblings and me to Christian schools. Despite his efforts, he never fully trusted the system. He always asked what we had learned that day. One time I came home and repeated a lesson from history class taught by a nun who spoke with a thick Eastern European accent, straight out of the old Boris and Natasha cartoons. I’m not exaggerating! When my dad heard what she had said, he immediately declared, “She’s a Communist!” He corrected her distorted version of history right then and there and went straight to the school to complain. His vigilance protected me from deception. Later, as a young adult in the 1970s, he warned me about the dangers of radical Islam long before most Americans were paying attention. He was prophetic. His wisdom and courage shaped my thinking and kept me grounded. We passed those same truths on to our son, a Gen Xer who shares our convictions today. Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles do not leave your children’s education entirely to the schools. Be actively involved. Teach them the hard lessons of history, the value of liberty and the dangers of collectivism and tyranny. Your voice matters more than you know.
Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
