Pastelle Wave

During a challenging recovery from injuries that left me in a wheelchair for an extended time, I refused to let creativity slip away. My usual oil painting requires standing at an easel, so I turned to soft pastels—a perfect, seated-friendly medium that let me keep creating without missing a beat.

Pastels proved surprisingly liberating during those months—easy to blend with fingertips, no brushes or solvents needed, just pure color and movement from my chair. It became more than art; it was therapy, a way to ride the waves even when life felt still.
