Sunset Over The Front Range was painted on un-tempered masonite coated with five layers of Renaissance marble gesso. It is painted ala prima. The finished painting is coated with damar varnish. I viewed this sunset driving home to Broomfield, Colorado from Lafayette, Colorado taking 120th to Dillon Road. The sunset was so magnificent that I pulled the car over to the side of the road to snap a picture for a future painting.
